What is Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your car’s factory paint, creating a hard, glossy protective layer. Once applied and cured, it cannot be washed away — it becomes part of the car.

At Auto Finesse Club, we use Gyeon and IGL Coatings — both rated 9H on the hardness scale, the highest available for automotive use. This means genuine protection, not just a glossy finish.

What Does It Protect Against?

Dhaka’s climate is hard on car paint — intense UV from the sun, acid rain during monsoon season, dust, bird droppings, and tree sap. Without proper protection, your paint oxidises and fades within a few years.

A quality ceramic coating forms a shield against all of these. The hydrophobic surface causes water to bead up and roll off, taking dust and dirt with it — making every wash faster and safer.

Our Ceramic Coating Process

Deep Wash

Full decontamination wash. Iron fallout remover, snow foam, two-bucket method.

Decontamination

Clay bar treatment to remove bonded contamination invisible to the eye.

Paint Correction

Machine polish to remove swirls, light scratches and water marks. Required before coating.

Ceramic Application

Gyeon or IGL ceramic applied panel by panel in a controlled environment.

Cure & Inspect

24-hour cure. Full inspection before handover. We only release when it’s perfect.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ceramic Coating

How long does ceramic coating last in Dhaka?

A professional 9H ceramic coating applied at Auto Finesse Club lasts 3–5 years depending on usage, maintenance, and the package chosen. Dhaka's heat and humidity can degrade cheaper coatings faster — which is why we use Gyeon and IGL, formulated for tropical conditions.

Do I need to drop my car off — do you come to me?

Ceramic coating is done at our studio at 100 Ft, Madani Avenue, Dhaka. The car needs to stay with us for 1–2 days for the full process — wash, decontamination, polishing and a 24-hour cure. We don't offer mobile ceramic coating as a controlled environment is essential for quality results.

Can I wash my car after ceramic coating?

We recommend waiting at least 7 days before washing. After that, regular hand washing is fine — the hydrophobic surface actually makes washing faster and easier. Avoid automatic car washes as the brushes can scratch the coating.

Is paint correction needed before ceramic coating?

It depends on the current condition of your paint. If your paint has swirl marks, scratches or oxidation, we recommend at least a single-stage polish before coating — otherwise those defects get sealed in permanently. Our team will inspect your paint and advise accordingly when you drop the car off.

What is the difference between ceramic coating and wax?

Wax sits on top of the paint and washes off within weeks. Ceramic coating chemically bonds with your clear coat, forming a semi-permanent layer that repels water, UV rays, dirt and light scratches for 3–5 years. It is significantly more durable, harder, and more protective than any wax or sealant product.
